Worldlink commences mobile
technology licensing
Worldlink, the UK’s leading real-time mobile applications company,
is now licensing the use of its mobile technology patent. The
patented technology allows information held on the mobile device to
be updated automatically, without the need for a manual refresh.
Information is delivered via a mobile telecommunications network in
real-time, whilst minimising the bandwidth required to transmit the
data.
Neil Riches, Managing Director of Worldlink commented. ‘Worldlink
has recently had a significant number of enquires about its patents,
both here in the UK and in the US. To assist companies in
identifying whether their mobile applications infringe the Worldlink
patent, Worldlink has placed details of the patents on the company’s
web site. Additional information can be obtained by speaking to one
of Worldlink’s patent specialists. Worldlink offers licensees of its
technology unrivalled support and resources, enabling the licensee
to reap the benefits of Worldlink’s considerable investment and
experience in mobile application delivery.’
Initial licensees will be in the financial mobile sector, for
financial price information and dealing services. Discussions are
also underway with a company offering a mobile racing and betting
service, which utilises the same method of delivery.
