WORLDLINK GRANTED UNITED STATES PATENT FOR ITS UNIQUE WIRELESS DELIVERY SYSTEM
Leading wireless company set to make a major impact on the US market Worldlink is pleased to announce that it has been granted a US patent for its unique process used in leading edge wireless technology products and services. The granted patent relates to the efficient distribution of data content over any mobile telecommunications network.
The process has already been utilised for the real-time distribution of financial data to wireless devices through its first product ‘mobilemarkets’. This is based on a subscriber profile ensuring that only the required data is sent to the device.
Neil Riches, Managing Director and founder of Worldlink, said: I am delighted Worldlink has been granted this US patent. It now gives us a major advantage in the wireless data market across both Europe and now the US. It is Worldlink’s intention to consolidate multiple revenue streams made possible due to owning its patents by a combination of licensing revenue streams, licensing of software development kits based around the patented process, and the reselling of ‘best of breed products’.
Riches went on to say: ‘mobilemarkets’ was the first application that utilised Worldlink’s patented process. Our strategy is to become the pre-eminent innovator in the provision of wireless solutions and services, both business to business and business to consumer, changing the way people work and play. We will continue to develop our processes to stay at the forefront of our industry. The opportunities offered in the wireless data market are tremendous.
There are many other industries that will benefit from the licensing of this process when mobilising their already mature services. These include business critical applications and leisure and entertainment products such as sports information, gambling and gaming (where permitted), spread betting and general information services offered by the portals.
Worldlink plans to market its process across the US and Europe.
Further patent grants are expected in seventeen other countries.
